So now here’s something I did, Took this photo of the R68A Subway Cars On The B Line At Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Made it looked really classic and old. This photo reminds me of how it kinda looks like the old Coney Island Station.. Made me think of the old times. Enjoy
R68A Subway Cars On The B Line At Coney Island (Sepia)
Yep so here’s a memory that happened when I was 6-9 years old which I relived today, The last stop for D Trains from Norwood-205th Street was 34th Street Herald Square. As an alternative to Coney Island Brooklyn take the F, N and Q Lines. I remember when they did this as part of the Manhattan Bridge rehab from July 2001 To February 2004 as a full shutdown, the W Train was the West End via Broadway (Which West End was originally the B Train via 6th Avenue) and the D Train Line before the shutdown in 2001 was the Brighton Line. I remember the first day when the Manhattan Bridge changes occurred on the (B) And (D) Lines with both lines having its southern terminal as 34th Street in 2001, the (B) Train no longer ran on weekends (Still present to this day), I rode the (D) Train ending at 34th Street on its first day with my dad when I was 6 years old, rode the new Broadway (Q) Train and the brand new Train. Was fun times. I remember the (D) Train had that Southern terminal rollsign with it saying 34th Street-Herald Square. And yes the (D) Did used Westinghouse R68 Subway Cars as well as today in the present.

I also remember the ORIGINAL Grand Street Shuttle Train which ran between Broadway Lafayette Street and Grand Street only before extending it to West 4th Street in December 2001. The Grand Street Shuttle used R46 Subway Cars (4 Car Sets). But today it ended up using the R68 Subway Cars From The D Train which wasn’t surprising. I was able to photograph these reliving the times I’ve had when I was a little boy. It was fun reliving these stuff again

So its been awhile since I actually post a blog entry. So here’s one I had to write about. As of 5/25/2014, The MTA New York City Transit M60 Local Bus has been discontinued and has now become a LIMITED Stop Select Bus Service. For those who don’t know, Select Bus Service is where you pay your fare off a machine on the streets and you MUST show your receipt on the bus so you can go through or get a $100 fine. The M60 Local bus debuted in 1992 and back then used RTS Buses. Now today, M60 contains ONLY Novas LFSA (Articulated Buses). I remember riding the M60 as a little child to the airport back when I was probably 5-13 years old with dad. The bus ride was a good experience. Even though the M60 is still running as a select Bus Service, it won’t be the same anymore. However I was lucky enough to ride the very LAST M60 Local Bus to ever run before it became Select Bus Service. It was a night I’ll never forget and was able to ride whats now history.
So my next photography/video project is called The Daniel Smith Project. This project basically will be in 4 parts
Part 1 – Interest in The Subway
Part 2 – His Favorite Places
Part 3 – Trying New Things
Part 4 – Undecided
This is a project I honestly wanted to do for a long time but something kept stopping me from doing this project. But now I’m really going to put my effort to this wonderful project so with that said, stay tune for updates.

So officially over 2 years ago exactly on February 20th 2011, because of an incident on the E And F Trains in Manhattan, A surprise came by on the C Train but what? New Technology Trains (R160s) made a special run on the C Train to 168th Street making all C Trains stops. Now what makes it history from Daniel Smith Photography Productions? Because Daniel Smith was the first person to ever get photos those trains running on the C Train in SERVICE when he was using a Nikon D40x at the time. The New Technology Trains on the C Trains felt kind of different from riding a R32 C Train. And at the same time people were actually surprised on what they saw (Including automatic announcements) and the train wasn’t too cold or too hot. Good experienced I’ve had.
How did I know it was supposed to happen?
I didn’t know because I was coming from the Gym (YMCA 63rd Street and Central Park West) and when I entered the station I was heard there was a police investigation on the E And F Trains and they were suspending service in Manhattan on those lines in both directions. While hearing that I see an unusual train coming and luckily I took my camera with me that day so. I was like lucky
I’m rating this a 10 out of 10 because it was nice.
